Nepalese 7 metal hand beaten singing (healing) bowl, also known as the Himalayan bowl. The side and rim of singing bowl vibrate to produce sound. Singing bowls were traditionally used throughout Asia as part of Bön and Tantric Buddhist sadhana. Today they are employed worldwide both within and without these spiritual traditions, for meditation, trance-induction, relaxation, health care, personal well-being and religious practice. The experience is often described as clearing the body and as a result a restart of ‘the machine’.
